Hello!!!!

Hi! I’m Kate Leo

You can also call me Sunnysky (my Warrior Cats name) or #1Balrog because yes—I love The Lord of the Rings.

I’m 12 and originally from Galveston, Texas, but now I live on a boat! I do online school and usually finish my work pretty fast, which gives me lots of time to make art.

I love the How to Train Your Dragon movies and episodes, so a lot of my drawings are dragons from that world. I’m also a big fan of the Warrior Cats book series, and lately I’ve been drawing tons of cats.

Sometimes I take photos too—especially of my stuffed animal, Toothless.

If you see a drawing that looks like it has two different art styles, that’s because my sister (Fox) and I like to draw together on an app called Drawpile. It lets us work on the same digital canvas at the same time, which is really fun.

Most of my solo drawings are made in Krita, an amazing free art app created by artists who really know what they’re doing.

I also have a little blog thingy called “Kate’s Updates” (I know! it rhymes!) where I make up little stories and talk about where I am and what I’m doing.
